So I’m a big fan of podcasts… and one of the podcasts I find myself coming back to over and over again is the Fizzle Show.
It’s a show with 3 (formerly 4, and before that 3, but one of them was different from the current 3) guys who run an online community for entrepreneurs called Fizzle.
One of the reasons that I love the show so much is that it frequently gets lost in a maze of inside jokes and rabbit trails, all of which are hilarious.
Recently, the guys were going over a list of tips for new bloggers, and one of them gave the tip:
Don’t squander your launch.
The point he was making was that the launch of your blog or business is the easiest time to get people to notice it, since it’s shiny and new, so you should take advantage of that newness and not let it go to waste.
However, one of the hosts (a hilarious dude by the name of Chase Reeves) couldn’t stop laughing at the phrase “squander your launch” , thinking that it sounded a bit inappropriate and euphemistic.
Naturally, he kept bringing it up over the course of that episode (and the next, and probably the next one after that too).
I thought the phrase was hilarious and deserving of a t-shirt, so I came up with this:
I threw in a little drop-shadow action, then mocked it up on a t-shirt. Using the slate-grey/orange-white color scheme from the Fizzle site, I came up with these three options:
